Episode Transcript
[00:00:00] Speaker A: We're back.
Did you miss us?
You did. We know, in fact, that you did. I got so many text messages from people saying, when's the next episode coming out? That's not true. I actually got no text messages.
Oh, man. But we're back anyway, right?
[00:00:16] Speaker B: We were only asked that by, like, just other Parish circuit people.
[00:00:20] Speaker A: When are we gonna record again?
[00:00:23] Speaker B: That was it.
[00:00:24] Speaker A: Yeah. Well, I was traveling last week, so things got wild. But we're back. So today we got a couple of fun things that we're going to talk about. First, first out of the docket, first episode of the day. Are you ready?
The Daughters of the American Revolution are now accepting men.
You would think that they would learn.
[00:00:47] Speaker B: I didn't see that coming.
[00:00:50] Speaker A: And of course, what I'm talking about.
Of course what I'm talking about is they're accepting men who say they're women.
That's who they're accepting now. The Daughters of the American Revolution. So this is an organization, they trace their ancestry back to the American War for Independence.
It's a women's organization. They have chapters all over the country. There's a chapter in Opelousis, and there's a chapter in Lafayette.
I know some folks, in fact, I know somebody who put this on my radar for us to kind of talk about today.
But they recently had a vote, I think it was back in June, where they will now.
Their words are, we will no longer discriminate based on gender identity.
It's called the Daughters.
[00:01:37] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:01:38] Speaker A: The rule is that you have to be a woman. The one. Well, two rules, really.
[00:01:45] Speaker B: You have to, like, the American Revolution. Is that the other rule?
[00:01:48] Speaker A: So it's a lineage thing. Like, you have to actually be able to trace your ancestry back.
[00:01:54] Speaker B: I didn't know that, actually.
[00:01:54] Speaker A: Yeah, so it's like a thing, which, I mean, if you can pretend to be a man or if you're a man that can pretend to be a girl, the next logical conclusion is that you can just pretend to have ancestors that fought in the American War for independence.
[00:02:10] Speaker B: Yeah, but isn't that something objective? That's, like, in your DNA?
[00:02:15] Speaker A: I appreciate what you're doing here.
I appreciate that. But that's the point, though. So your rules are dead. Your organization's dead. You have no qualifiers anymore. It's over. It's done. And also, we just can't figure out what women are anymore.
We will continue to harm women by removing their identity from them and placing them in a room with men, pretending to be women, placing them in a room with people who Are perverts.
[00:02:46] Speaker B: Yeah. So I heard a.
I can't believe I hadn't heard this quote before. And I forget who said it originally, but someone I know, we were talking kind of about this topic, and they told a quote to me that I found very insightful. Feminism hates men and hates women.
[00:03:08] Speaker A: Ooh, roll that out. Yeah, roll that out for me.
[00:03:12] Speaker B: So the feminist movement, maybe the stereotype of the modern feminist is someone who hates men. Right. Is bitter towards men for some perceived, you know, injustice or oppression or something like that.
[00:03:27] Speaker A: Yeah. Proletariat.
[00:03:28] Speaker B: Yeah.
But in the end, all the things that are, you know, coming out when. When the goals of feminism come to fruition, all it does is harm women. And one of the things that has come to fruition as a result of the feminist movement is the transgender movement.
[00:03:47] Speaker A: Interesting.
[00:03:48] Speaker B: Which.
Which specifically is hateful of women.
[00:03:54] Speaker A: Well, it leaves them vulnerable.
That's one of my main arguments here, is if you're gonna allow a man to pretend to be a woman, and now he gets to go into the women's bathroom at the airport, who have you made vulnerable?
You have made the women vulnerable.
[00:04:09] Speaker B: Absolutely. And another, I guess, way that modern feminists or people that are in favor of feminism or the transgender movement like to frame this is, you know, it's the same old Marxist oppressor versus oppressed dynamic.
And, you know, feminism is simply trying to, you know, remove. I've heard it phrased this way. You know, the patriarchy just had their boot on women's necks, and all feminism does is say, take the boot off of our neck. But I saw this recently. Says it was fresh. The irony of that, though, is those people, first off, it's a very negative portrayal of male leadership. But secondly, the only people advocating for men to be able to step into an arena with women and maybe literally put their heels on women's throats, say, in a. Like a. Yeah. A sports competition or something like that.
[00:05:13] Speaker A: Right.
[00:05:14] Speaker B: Is the transgender movement.
[00:05:16] Speaker A: Yeah, it is the. It's the.
It is the sexual deviants.
It is the men who identify sexually as women. It is the perversion.
[00:05:29] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:05:30] Speaker A: Like, we're literally putting them in a room.
[00:05:32] Speaker B: Or it's the boxing ring where a man.
[00:05:34] Speaker A: Or the boxing ring up a woman. Yeah. Or the. In the case of the wnba, stuff that's happening right now.
Right. Same difference.
[00:05:41] Speaker B: Hilarious.
[00:05:42] Speaker A: People have just decided that boys can play women's basketball. Now. This is still unfolding. We're just. We're destroying women by.
[00:05:52] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:05:53] Speaker A: And while feminism reign.
[00:05:57] Speaker B: What's his name?
The guy, the the guy that's trying to enter the WNBA draft.
[00:06:03] Speaker A: Oh, there's two of them.
[00:06:04] Speaker B: Cantor. Yeah.
[00:06:06] Speaker A: Like two ex NBA guys.
[00:06:08] Speaker B: Yes. Yes.
[00:06:10] Speaker A: I love it.
They're both like, we are entering the draft and you can't stop us. I think one of them actually got disqualified, didn't they? Like, one of them got rejected by the wnba. They're like, no, you can't do that, sir. You're a man.
[00:06:24] Speaker B: Right.
How dare they? How dare they?
Ennis. I don't know how you pronounce his first name. Cantor Freedom.
He's the retired. He's the one that's maybe been on the news the most. The other guy is running for, I think, an elected position in Minnesota. Royce White. But Enes Cantor Freedom is the one who's been making waves recently.
One clip I saw was some of the players on the court at a WNBA game getting really angry at him, and he ended up getting kicked out of the game.
[00:07:00] Speaker A: Oh, I heard about this. Yes.
[00:07:01] Speaker B: For wearing.
What made them angry and infuriated was that he had a shirt on that defined a woman as an adult female.
Like, it was just like a little basic definition of a woman.
[00:07:13] Speaker A: How dare you?
[00:07:14] Speaker B: But what a world we live in.
[00:07:15] Speaker A: Yeah. I'd like to get after the root of this just, like, for a moment, because it is interesting to me that it's the.
This is happening in a women's group led by women.
[00:07:24] Speaker B: Okay, back to the Daughters of the American Revolution.
[00:07:27] Speaker A: The Daughters of the American Revolution. Yeah. And so.
And this is not to, like, this is not to say that this is an issue with every single woman who's operating in the world.
Like J.K. rowling, for example. She wrote the Harry Potter books. She's come out very much against transgenderism. Like, she's going hard against it. And she. I would call her a feminist.
[00:07:51] Speaker B: Yeah, no, she would call herself a feminist. Right. She was one of the leaders of the feminist cause. Maybe not a leader, but she identified as a feminist, and nobody doubted that.
But she recognized early on that something's wrong. Something's wrong. And that if transgenderism, if you follow it to its logical conclusion, men take over. Well, yeah. And feminism makes no sense.
Feminism assumes two genders. Right, Right.
[00:08:18] Speaker A: Yes. Thank you. Well, so what. I think what's actually happening in situations like this, and I think this happens in women's organizations, by and large. Okay, get ready. Stuart's about to say something incredibly offensive. Everybody, hold on. I think this is something that comes up majority with women because women in their nature were made by God to nurture. They were made to like you have a child, they're out in the backyard, they fall down, you know, they scrape their knee, they're bleeding. What does dad say?
Walk it off, rub some dirt on it. You're gonna be okay. You're gonna be okay. Toughen up.
What does mom do? Stereotypes here. I'm speaking in generalizations and stereotypes. Let's all grant that for just a moment. Mom generally speaking says, oh, no, hold on. And then the nurture instinct comes in. Now, both of those reactions in and of themselves, I think they're both fine.
Like they're both God oriented, God directed responses. Okay, God made women to work a particular way. God made men to work a particular way. Both of those natures have sinful aspects of them too. You know, like dads can neglect their kids.
[00:09:28] Speaker B: They can be twisted.
[00:09:29] Speaker A: Yeah. Women can helicopter mom, you know, that's why that phrase exists. And so I think what we're seeing here specifically in women's organization is a unrestrained nurture instinct.
In other words, something that God put there. That's good.
You made the reference earlier to the proletariat.
Now it's unrestrained by the word of God. And they're looking at these poor tranny boys who just need someone to love them.
And we're not going to give up on you tranny boys. We're going to love you. We're going to take care of you. You see what I'm saying? It's just an unrestrained nurture instinct, I think.
And this goes, I would say this is a temptation in all women's organizations. They're all going to deal with this kind of stuff. And I would argue that women's organizations, feminism, lead more to the left, more towards issues like this much easier than men's organizations do, especially in the culture that we live in today.
Just look at the divide politically between men and women. Statistically, the majority of men today lean more conservative. The majority of women today lean more liberal. That's just stats. That has a lot to do, I think, with a nurture instinct, which is good. I like a nurture instinct.
We got to keep it reined in though, right?
[00:10:55] Speaker B: Yeah, It'd be interesting to see, for example, in the WNBA thing, like Enos Cantor, Freedom. He's obviously just love that name being he's just playing the WNBA in a very brilliant, funny way and forcing them to just come face to face with, you know, I think their hypocrisy here, right?
[00:11:20] Speaker A: No, sir, you're a man.
[00:11:21] Speaker B: Right. But what if, what if he really was? What if he really did like, what if some 6 foot 8 ex NBA player fit their categories of a legitimate trans person?
[00:11:35] Speaker A: Well, isn't there debate on whether or not that's happening in the WNBA right now?
[00:11:40] Speaker B: Yeah, and it's all a mess. I don't think they've come to any conclusions there. But yeah, it's just, but it can be debate if they let him in, which I don't think they're gonna let him in, but if they let his equivalent in, who fit there the bill.
[00:11:56] Speaker A: Yeah. Which has happened in whatever that is
[00:11:58] Speaker B: and is very subjective. Yeah, he would, you know, he would score his 75 points in his first game and suddenly, suddenly everything would come crashing down. When it comes to the WNBA and this, this strange.
We're going to let men play he here.
But when confronted with kind of the logic, the reality of the situation, to your point of the nurture instinct, the reactions are never a maybe well defined logical argument. It always resorts to the why are you being so mean? Kind of.
That's the, the play typically.
[00:12:46] Speaker A: Yeah. And like what did God make?
Ultimately this kind of stuff is just a rebellion against God. I want to be something that I wasn't made.
That's a rebellion against God.
God made you male or female. Okay. Now inevitably somebody's going to come up here, but what about the, you know, point 0,000, however many zeros, 1% chance that somebody's born with it.
Androgynous genitalia.
Look, man, first off, that's so incredibly rare. I don't think people actually realize how incredibly rare that is when something like that does happen. And even when it does happen,
[00:13:30] Speaker B: it's
[00:13:30] Speaker A: obvious what was supposed to be there.
It's not like the doctor sits back and scratches his head and be like, you know, I just don't know.
[00:13:40] Speaker B: Right. Well, either from the DNA or over time, certainly.
[00:13:44] Speaker A: Yeah, it's a thing. So the deal ultimately is that this is functionally rebellion against God.
They're saying, I want to be something that I was not made to be.
And there's a lot of different ways that this manifests today. We see it mostly manifest in roles to your point earlier and feminism. Anything you can do, man, I can do better. That was one of the anthems of feminism for quite some time.
Feminism is a rejection of ultimately gender based roles. And so now we've landed more in a publicly acceptable and supported rejection of gender itself. Like you're 100% correct that one leads to the other. Because fundamentally I would Argue it's a rejection of God and what he's done.
[00:14:32] Speaker B: Right.
[00:14:33] Speaker A: You throw out him, you throw out what his creation order is, Everything else falls apart.
[00:14:38] Speaker B: Yep. So, yeah, a couple things that people are interpreting wrongly is that different roles means different value.
That's. That's one thing, right. That if God made men and women different, which he did, and for different purposes, which he did, that that somehow automatically, you know, means that women must be less valuable until. Oh, yes, until they can fill all the roles that men fill or whatever it is.
So that's an unbiblical assumption from the get go, we would argue.
And then there's also, I think, along
[00:15:12] Speaker A: with, like, why women can make babies. I know men can't do that.
[00:15:16] Speaker B: And when a man, you make a human soul.
When a man, a biological man, claims to be a woman, that should be offensive to women 100%. He can't do what women do.
[00:15:28] Speaker A: No, he literally can't. It's actually impossible. Yeah, no, but it's, it's 100% accurate. What you're talking about, the whole envying, coveting of somebody else's role.
Because that is, I think that is part of it too. It's a breaking of the coveting commandment.
And so what we need to do instead is say, this is what God has made. I'm not going to try and covet. This is what God has given me. I'm not going to try and covet. I'm just going to say, thank you, Lord, this is your good design. And I'm going to move on from here.
But if you covet something that you don't have, whether that's through feminism or through some weird sexual perversion fantasy thing, you're going to land in a bad place.
Get out of there.
[00:16:10] Speaker B: And that gets to the reality.
[00:16:11] Speaker A: It's going to destroy you.
[00:16:12] Speaker B: Absolutely. And it gets to the reality too, that we've as a culture placed desires as ultimate.
Like feelings. Right, Feelings. Desires. If someone will make the argument that,
[00:16:26] Speaker A: well, a dream is a wish, your heart makes sense. That's Sleeping Beauty, by the way. No, Cinderella. Excuse me.
[00:16:33] Speaker B: Thank you. I didn't know that.
But if someone, you know, the argument you'll often hear is if they were born a certain way, so, meaning if they have always had a particular desire or feeling that that must be ultimate somehow. And we would say, well, maybe a couple things. One is, no, that's ultimately not what determines reality or morality.
[00:16:56] Speaker A: What you want, what you want or
[00:16:58] Speaker B: desire, your feelings don't determine morality. Morality.
[00:17:02] Speaker A: When that 2 year old decides that somebody else's toy is his and he takes it, does that determine reality?
[00:17:07] Speaker B: Right.
[00:17:08] Speaker A: No, it doesn't.
[00:17:10] Speaker B: Yeah. And you want to apply that to a lot of other things. Yeah. Right.
But, yeah, I forgot my second point now, but.
[00:17:17] Speaker A: Oh, I'm sorry.
[00:17:18] Speaker B: Thanks for interrupting.
[00:17:18] Speaker A: I'm sorry. I'm sorry, David. This is a freestyle podcast, in case you guys didn't know. This is a freestyle episode. Yeah. So the feminism, transgenderism, same root, rebellion against God. You're coveting something that you don't want. You gotta stop that, move on, go forward. It's gonna be good. And as far as for the Daughters of the American Revolution chapters that are local, I hope that they would have the courage to say no to this.
[00:17:45] Speaker B: Absolutely.
[00:17:45] Speaker A: And to say no, we're not gonna do this.
We're gonna actually be Daughters.
[00:17:50] Speaker B: Didn't the Boy Scouts already lose this fight?
[00:17:52] Speaker A: Yeah, Boy Scouts are now just called Scouts.
[00:17:56] Speaker B: Yeah. Crazy.
[00:17:57] Speaker A: We can't have that anymore. Anyway, well, closing thoughts. Dave, did you remember your second point?
[00:18:04] Speaker B: Nope.
[00:18:05] Speaker A: Listeners, what do you think his second point was?
Right in. No. Thank you. Well, anyway, guys, thank you all so much for listening to another episode of the Parish Circuit. You go to the parish circuit.com, stay in tune with all kinds of news and events going on in our area.
We thank you so much for being a part of this and continuing to participate with us as we work to grow a Christian and conservative media engine here in southwest Louisiana. Thank you guys so much, and we will see you next time.
